CTXT Café and Restaurant, envisioned by WUUT, emerged from a client brief characterized by ambiguity and a lack of specific requirements. The primary focus was on creating a space that fostered a connection between visitors and their surroundings, rather than adhering to a predefined concept or identity.
Exploring Spatial Dynamics: Cafe and Bar Lounge
CTXT spans two floors, with a café on the first floor and a bar lounge on the second floor. The architectural structure is characterized by simplicity and solidity, with bold elements such as large scalpel-shaped fixtures and rough textures leaving a lasting impression on visitors. Despite the bold aesthetic, the interior ambiance is softened through the use of color and subtle lighting, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.
Blurring Boundaries: Internal and External Integration
The integration of glass walls blurs the boundaries between the interior and exterior spaces, enhancing the sense of openness and connectivity. Mirrors installed on the exterior wall provide unique perspectives for visitors, allowing them to view the entire room from their seating positions.
