The Arrive East Austin Hotel, envisioned by Baldridge Architects, stands as a testament to reimagining traditional hotel concepts. Comprising eighty-three rooms and a versatile podium housing various dining and retail spaces, the project challenges conventional hotel norms to prioritize public engagement over private accommodation.
Shifting Paradigms
Rather than adhering to typical hotel design tropes, the project seeks to blur the lines between hospitality and public amenities. The ground-level restaurants and retail spaces establish a vibrant pedestrian identity, inviting locals and visitors alike to engage with the urban fabric. Above, the undulating facade not only responds dynamically to Austin’s architectural guidelines but also creates balconies and covered porches for hotel guests, fostering a sense of community within the structure.

Amidst the backdrop of East Austin’s rapid gentrification, the Arrive Hotel Group aimed to embed itself within the local neighborhood fabric.
