Altar Ninho is a collaborative endeavor between Altar and Natureza Urbana, crafted to offer a unique retreat amidst the natural splendor of Serra da Mantiqueira. Rooted in Altar’s vision of decentralized hotels harmonizing with nature, the project embodies a sustainable approach to hospitality, blending technology with eco-conscious practices.
Fusion of Art and Hospitality
The collaboration draws inspiration from “O Altar,” a line of small-space furnishings by Tok&Stok, featuring designs curated by Natureza Urbana. Concurrently, the conception and construction of Ninho unfolded, resulting in a space that seamlessly integrates with its surroundings. Situated in Fazenda Pedra Alta, Joanópolis-SP, Ninho complements nearby Altar units, fostering a dynamic interplay between the houses while preserving privacy and serenity.
Elevated Serenity
Perched atop sloping terrain, Altar Ninho stands four meters above ground, reminiscent of a tranquil treehouse retreat. Its elevated position offers breathtaking vistas of the reservoir below, while spacious interiors blend seamlessly with outdoor living spaces. The design prioritizes simplicity and sophistication, utilizing materials that harmonize with the natural environment, inviting guests to immerse themselves in the beauty of nature.
Regenerative Design Philosophy
Natureza Urbana’s commitment to regenerative design is evident in every aspect of Ninho’s construction. Prefabricated elements minimize environmental impact, while elevated structures preserve the integrity of the landscape. The cabin’s compact footprint belies its versatility, offering a cozy living, kitchen, and bedroom space, alongside a naturally lit toilet and ample outdoor leisure areas for guests to unwind and connect with nature.
